The Stringrays are a very popular band that have played at many dance festivals in the last few years.  They were among the most requested in the evaluations from 2015 and played for the Contra Holiday in Medieval England in 2006 and 2007.  The band is led by Rodney Miller, who is widely considered to be the foremost exponent of the New England style of fiddling.  He and his band have toured the U.S. extensively as well as the British Isles, Australia and Denmark.  Joining Rodney will be Max Newman on guitar, Stuart Kenney on bass and banjo, Sam Bartlett on mandolin and banjo, and Mark Hellenberg on percussion!!   For more information about the Stringrays expertise and style, here’s the band’s webpage, check it out!!!

Lisa Greenleaf is back by popular request!  She called for us with Rodney’s band in 2006 and 2007 and we are delighted that she can join us in 2017 with her lively, friendly but precise calling style and her enormous wealth of exciting dances.

On Sunday evening, April 2, 2017, we are planning a special Brit with Brits dance with the return of our popular 2015 band Vertical Expression to add variety to our dance week.  They are Charley Roberts on fiddle, Ian Roberts, on melodeon and feet, Ian Benton on guitar and Margaret Benton on double-bass.

Sound will be provided by our expert Quentin Fletcher, who has provided us with superior sound at our previous 5 dance weeks!!
